Q4 2020 Latin American Horror Game Insights: Top 5 Titles' Performance

As the year 2020 drew to a close, horror game enthusiasts in Latin America showed their unwavering interest in the genre. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how the top five horror games performed during the fourth quarter.

Identity V, published by NetEase Games, experienced a notable increase in downloads, starting the quarter with around 2K downloads and peaking at over 12K in mid-December. The weekly active users reflected a steady rise, culminating at approximately 120K users by the end of December.

Behaviour Interactive Inc.'s Dead by Daylight Mobile also saw a significant uptick in downloads, jumping from roughly 20K to over 31K. The weekly active users showed a substantial growth, from around 62K to over 72K, indicating a growing player base as the quarter progressed.

Clickteam, LLC's games had mixed trends. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 downloads remained relatively steady, with a slight peak at 2.7K in late December. The active users showed a gradual decline, however, dipping to around 148K by the quarter's end. The original Five Nights at Freddy's mirrored this pattern, with downloads peaking at about 2.4K and active users decreasing to just over 7K.

Lastly, Ultimate Custom Night, also by Clickteam, LLC, had a surge in downloads in late November, reaching over 3K, and weekly active users increased to more than 9K by the quarter's end.

These figures underscore the popularity of horror games in Latin America, with a clear demand for engaging and thrilling experiences. For more insights into the performance of apps and games, Sensor Tower offers comprehensive data and analysis.
